Will you kindly refer me the names of some books to study on Abraham Lincoln?

Bill O'Reilly's 'Killing Lincoln'. Doesn't take a decade to wade through. It is about the last month of his life.

Hi Mitraa,
Sure! It does depend on what you are looking for....perhaps Team of Rivals which came out within the past decade and there is Carl Sandburgs Prarie Years and The War Years. Both are involved reading but not impossible. Of course there are a good deal more than just these two but these really do stand out in my mind. Try your local library, read a few chapters and see if you like the author. If not, try a few others and see which author works for you.
There are some films on Abe and you may want to see a few as he is so complex, it is hard to get the entire Abe in one film and do it justice. If you want something general, try American Experience or perhaps PBS series. If you're looking for something a bit more in depth, there is Gore Vidals Lincoln (1988-89) starring Sam Waterson and Mary Tyler Moore. There is also the classic Abe Lincoln in Illinois (1940 Raymond Massey).
Does this help? Let me know if it does and you may have sparked my lifelong interest in Abe!

Hi Mitraa-
While there are many fine books about Abraham Lincoln, Carl Sandburg's "Lincoln" is a remarkable study of a great man. It has many volumes, but you could start as we do all journeys, one step (book) at a time.
Good luck,
Marjorie
