Guam, its not even a dot on the Globe. Try looking for it on the map.
Im from Guam. It's a beautiful island. Its like a mini version of Hawaii. A lot of tourist come here because the fare is cheaper than going to Hawaii or any other US territory. I can say its a really clean place, compared to the Philippines. There's a lot of fresh air, the beaches are so clean, white sand and clear water. When I was little I used to see fishes while I was in the water.
You can say that this island is like a logo for UNITED COLORS OF BENETTON, (spell check please), I say this because there are so many different nationalities that reside on this island, but ofcourse the locals are the Chamorros/Guamanians.
Time here flies by faster than the Philippines, but slower than the mainland. I say this because, people come and go from home to work to school and back home, but there are instances that the people of Guam, find time to go out, be with friends and families.
I love working in GUam, although there's an economy crisis happening internationally, I love the fact that discrimination here isn't as bad as the other countries. I guess its because its in the law, but atleast you know that most of the people abide by it.
Traffic here comes and goes. Rush hour is probably the only time that there's traffic. 7:30 am and 5:00pm. But most of the time, there's hardly any traffic. Public transportation is not a thing here on Guam, almost everyone has a car. Its a necessity here, unless you have someone who can pick you up and drop you off anytime of the day.
There are more things to see and know about Guam. But I can't put all of them in here right now. This is just from my point of view. I may not love Guam as much as I love the Philippines, but, its a step closer to the mainland.

Guam is approx 541.3 square kilometers in area. thats about 3 times the size of Washington D.C.
being that Guam is the largest and southernmost island in the Mariana Islands archipelago, and you live in the northern mariana area..you should know all this already.
however..here is a link with lots of facts about this lovely island in the North Pacific Ocean, inluding a map.
