Ok guys, I'm not entirely sure if this counts as a reportable ofence here in mylot. I know I would not be happy if I were on the recieving end of it.

What do you think?
I know this person is only making a point but to me it is at the expense of someone else.
Am I being over sensitive or should it be reported.
I haven't responded to it yet as I wanted to see what others thought first.

Hello, mummyofthree, every members will have their rights to post what they want in their discussions,it is just her thoughts, I would say I am lucky to receive some good responses occasionally. I think different people will have different interests and ideas on what is a good discussion, some people may stick to politics, other may like sports,or may be yes/no discussions,so there is no need to argue on it.
Enjoy your discussions in mylot.:)

Ok. If you don't mind then I shall let it pass! After all you are the friend that is named! I know you work hard for your responses and have been here much longer than the other user. I still think it wsa wrong to name and quote discussions in that way!
Keep up the good work easy888!

The thing is I never want to speak anything on any contravertial topic. I had star ranking of 10 and in one day it moved to 6 as I had a serious discussion with three people and they were against me. I think even giving link to other discussions is also added as negative in mylot guidelines. I think your discussion is in danger if anybody is going to report. My advice to the person who started this discussion is stop this nonsense.

I understand. You have always been a good friend to me here on mylot. I am not going to report the discssion in question as easy888 has responded here herself.
This is one of the drawbacks on mylot that people can be victimised and their ratings suffer as a result. I know mylot says it can't happen but as we have seen it does time and time again!

I'm sorry you feel that. I am hte first to moan about unnecassary reporting of discussions. And will always support someone who has had discussions removed unfairly. I would not like to be the cause of this to someone else.
I was hoping for some help on this matter as to wether it was a discussion that warranted being reported. The above user has echoed my thoughts in that the name using was unnecessary.
It is very unlike you samrat to be so flippant in your response.

Oh, well, I guess that it was a offence!
Because it has been deleted!!
I guess that you were not the only one sensitive to the discussion and it was reported!
I am glad that I didn't respond to it, or you didn't respond to it...because our response would have been deleted too, and that would have been a waste of time! :)
Sorry, I didn't get to see the discussion.

Well I didn't report it as easy888 said herself that she didn't mind. But obviously the naming was a violation and mylot removed it themselves. Thanks for taking the time to read my discussion though.

I think it's a little rude of them to be naming names in regards to who the topic is about.
I also think it's rude for this person to be snapping at the people replying to the post just because they don't agree with the answers.
You're right, they are making a point but it's at the expense of another myLot member which is rude.
I think it should be reported but only because of the naming names thing. If it hadn't had any myLot member names in it, then it would have been ok.
You're being sensitive but not over sensitive :) I think you are thinking of other peoples feelings. If you want to report it then i think you would be doing the right thing :)

I have checked it just now, and it has been already deleted. Although I don't know what topic make you have that kind of feeling,I wanna to say it's just a common thing in the cyber world, everyone can say whatever he or she want, so just let it go, don't mind it.

I just read the link you gave. I don't think it is a reportable offence. He shouldn't have mentioned people's usernames to identify them. But he wasn't actually nasty about them. Just envious I expect.
Sometimes I wonder how people get so many responses to superficial discussions.

It is kinda out of the topic but I think maybe because this person has spend a lot of time and effort to start one single discussion and the response he gets was not that encouraging. So, he starts to compare with those who has most responses. I think he is really upset. For me, if he start a discussion which is provocative and at the expense of someone else, I just wont response to it. And if nobody is responding then it will become a discussions with no response.
