hi eskarenai, yes, my friends certainly get the priority. i make sure to go to dISCUSSIONS MY FRIENDS HV STARTED and choose for my choice of posts. i try to respond to most of theirs unless it is really inane (which, is seldom though. my friends and i are likeminded ppl).
then i respond and browse through the ones who have responded to mine and try to respond to theirs.
thanx.

I do have a tendency to be drawn to my friend's discussion before someone I have never answered before. Usually the way I find my friends is I will be answering and enjoying someone discussions and before I know we or I have requested to be on their friend's list and suddenly I have more friends than I know what to do. I find I go to Friend's dicussion for venturing to other discussions of my liking. Congrats on the 8000 mark my friend.

No I will reply to all Friends of mine if it is of Interest to me and if I can reply
I will not just put anything in a Discussion that I do not know what to reply to just so that I am replying and earning
So if there is a discussion that is not of Interest to me then I won't reply Friends or not

I try to answer all my friends discussions - if they interest me. I do not answer just to answer, I need to have something good to say, otherwise there is no use coz the reply will not be quality. I have some friends that ALWAYS managed to write interesting stuff and therefor they usually get a reply from me.

I do like the discussions you start as they tend to be "up my street". I have all my friends on email alert and usually get through answering most of them.
So really it is whatever subject matter I'm drawn to. I tend to avoid getting embroiled in conventional religious stuff (preaching) that some friends post, because what I would have to say could be misconstrued. I endevour to follow the Zen philosophy of total non-interference in religious beliefs of others and my insights into some things may upset others. On line, it is very difficult at times to communicate especially when I'm so often talking at the level of paradox.
I used to run encounter groups where everybody could speak whatever they wanted to. Because all interaction was face-to-face, then religious topics often got handled, but then everybody had the space that they were prepared to give to others to believe and be whatever they wanted to believe and be.

No not really. One of the first things that I do when I log in to MyLot is to check my friends' discussions and if I see a topic that is of my interest or I have something to share about, I post a response regardless who that friend is. Besides, I try to make sure that I respond to at least one discussion per friend.

No. I answer my friends discussions from the discussions my friends started under discussions. I just answer them as they come up, so I don't really favor one over the other. If the discussion is not one I am interested in or know anything about, well I won't answer that particular discussion.

I do have some friends that I prefer. They are the ones that I have the most in common with. One of them has a daughter that's just a couple months older than my son. We have a lot in common because of that. Another one always posts discussions that really make me think. I like that. Another one is really funny. There are several different ones that I almost always respond to. I try to respond to most of my friends, but some of them start too many discussions that I really don't have anything to add to.

I have a lot of friends here in mylot and I make it a point that I reply to some of there discussions so once a month I visit their profile and check out the discussions they've started and reply to those that I find interesting.
I don't have a preference, though, I try to reply to the discussions to each of my friends if the time permits. I love all my friends here but I really don't have a favorite among them.

A lot of times I just respond to discussions that are on subjects I'm interested in regardless of who has started them, but yes, I'm drawn to discussions of my friends...like you! :-)

Hi,ESKARENA. When I sign in mylot mylot everyday, the first thing for me is to checkthe discussions started by my friens, I replied almost every discussion they started(including yours). Then I check my interest and try to find some interesting topic there. I think friends' discusstion is important to reply.

I am new to mylot so I just try to respond to all of my friends discussions first. I just go down the list answering each one in the order it pops up. I have noticed that there are a few wjo post more discussions then others so I do give them more responses.

I dont actually have a "list", but it is true, I tend to answer some people more than others. I guess they are more on my same "wave length", or something and you are one of those people! I admire how you can think of so many things to write about and every day too! I wonder also whether you majored in English in the Univ. You mentioned something about an accident and later about nurses, so seeing your picture I wonder whether you are home bound because of it. I also wonder about your name, what does Eskarena mean?

ok, i will try to answer as fully as I can lol, loud fanfare, im about to bare my soul.
Well, my university training is actually in History (my first love) Sociology (because i actually like people) and Psychology (because it dawned on me in my 20s that actually i need to make a living too, lol). Hahaha I always feel that I dont think of enough to write about, i only manage to start 3 or 4 discussions a day, many people seem to have much more inspiration than me.
About 2 years ago now, i was involved in a road accident, I was off to mkeet my girl friend and met a white van man on the wrong side of the road in fog, We met in a dramatic fashion and my bike was wiped out, also very nearly me. It took me 9 months to recover, six months in hospital. Im not house bound by the accident but i am a socio phobe, in that meeting new people is physically terryfying for me, this causes untold problems in my life but i have to find ways round it. Coming on here helps a lot.
My name is an odd one. The first time i came across it was in a book by Terry Pratchett called Equal Rites. I called our eldest daughter Eskarena without ever knowing the true meaning of it, it just sounded nice and was different. However, in Egypt, i was told by friends of ours that it means Spirit child. Now, i went cold. Eskarena was a twin in the womb, but her brother never made it to this world, so spirit child was such an apt name
blessed be for your interest in me
I am happy to number you amongst my friends

I do have friends who's discussions I look at first as I know their topics will make sense and probably be of interest to me. But I also respond to discussions all over Mylot so some people who's discussions I respond too are not even my friends, yet.

yes i think this is the best way to do it in this forum. I certainly look at my friends list, do all i can answer, then go to my interest discussions. I dont get much further than this

I actually have. It's because those friends of mine are the ones who actually answer first whenever I post a new discussion that's why I try to return the favor.
But I try to answer some discussions of the people who answer my discussions so it's like a two way street. Nowadays, I don't get to visit the discussions my friends started page that much because my hands are full trying to respond to those who have responded back. LOL.
