My daughter bring up this subject!LOL!
She is annoyed because i love plants and my home is like a garden no matter winter or summer.
She know by now i am addicted with mylot, even say to relatives is easy to know where my mom is it...not 3 choice just 1:mylot!ha ha!and i asked her about a subject and looking around she said:well..if you have to choose between plants or pets what you will select?hm...well...
I think pets are more fun and interesting than plants. But it is more hard to take care of pets...like taking to the doctors, scare about infections, destroy furniture, and other, on plants the only thing is difficult to take care you has to very patience and you always has to have in mind to schedule to feed them...i said and she was "wow, now i see how much you love our dog"...ha ha ha...
Now,serious what you will choose is you have to select JUST one??...PLANTS OR ANIMALS?

For me it's pets handsdown.I like plants ,but not so much as to rank them over the pets.Perhaps if I could understand the emotions of plants a little more than I do ,I might have reconsidered my choice, lol.I think your daughter should have rather asked you 'what would you choose ? Pet,Plants or Mylot ? ' Lol

I will choose pet, especialy dog,my favorite animal. And actually I have raised a litte white doggie for two years. And he is considered to be a family member not just a pet. Everyday I will feed him, comb his hair and walk out with him. He is part of my life,if,one day he got lost, I would be too sad to raise another. With the past two years of my dog's acompany, we become very close friends, sometimes I even fancy my dog can understand my
words coz his eyes liking a shinning star tinkling in the sky as if he can share with his thought with me.It is really a fantastic feeling, thanks to my dog that make my life full and funny.

I just cannot make a choice between plants and pets as I am an ardent lover of both..Pets : they love you - plants: they comfort you.

Hello.Augustta,I will choose pets for sure as i kept a dog at home. I like petsdogs) as they can understand human being, they know when you are happy and unhappy. When you are happy, they will lick you and hug you, they are also loyal to you.
Plants cannot understand human being and you cannot interact with them, all you do it to give them water everyday and see them grow.

Ok, I guess I choose the plants. They are just so loving, caring, cuddly. Ha, ha, tricked you! No, sorry Augusta. I think plants are just so dull the way they just sit there and do nothing except look pretty. Pets on the other hand ARE so loving, caring, cuddly and adorable. Mind you, we have only just got a pair of guinea pigs just last week, which are easy to feed and house. So gorgeous, much better than plants.

Well, for me this isn't a hrd question. I would choose my pets over plants. One of the reasons I got my dogs was because I wanted a reason to become more active. My dogs give me a reason to get up and move more. You can't just sit around typing on a computer all day when you have a dog. You hav eto play with them so that they don't destroy your house.

hmmmm as i love both its really hard to answer this question.
but i say i choose the pets. the plants i can have outside in the garden, so i have both hahahahaha. you are right, its more difficult to take care of pets, but its more funny and relaxing too. the hugs you get, the love from them and lots of other things. we have 3 dogs right now and a bird. its so much funny to watch them, when they all play and talk lol. and it helps our souls to be happy too.

Augusta, first of all congratulate your daughter on my behalf for suggesting this meaningfull discussion. She seems to be an instant topic maker.
Pet lovers must excuse me, I have no fascination for pets. I simply am not interested in having a pet. Acquarium fish is interesting, but it is very difficult to maintain them. We have many plants in front of our house. The greenery and beautiful flowers are always mind warming. Actually it is the hobby of my wife, but I like it too. We even have 3 peppervines in front of our house.
Thank you, augusta.

i love plants more.. its because its easier to maintain and easy to taken care of. and if plants die.. im not that emotional than loosing a pet. some of my friends who are attached to their pet usually get over 2-4 months.. and i dont like that.

Hi augustta, I have both, but I think I would have to pick pets. I like to cuddle with my cat, Play with my dog, listen to my birds, play with my bunny and watch my fish. My plants are beautiful to look at. I even get exctied when it's spring and I buy outside plants. Oh! and of course, I love my roses. I would still have to say pets.

Honestly I would prefer a pet over a plant. You cant cuddle up with a plant or play with a plant. Yes pets take more care but they make up for it in the end.

Why not have both? But you have to realize that some dogs and cats like to eat plants...lol. So a good pet for you might be a turtle...no muss or fuss. And no litter box to change or yard to pick up..lol. Really , though, I think you can have both, it will just take some time for you and the pets to adjust. Pets are more work, but they are more fun to interact with than plants. If I had to pick one, it would have to be pets. I could always see flowers and plants outside if I wanted.

I'd like to have both. In my homeland I was raised with 4 pigeons and 11 cats, then we also have a small garden but we didn't keep any plants at home since the plants grow healthier in the garden. But if I had to choose only one, I would of course choose pets. Having a pet makes me happier and busier. When I moved here I didn't have any pet for 3- 4 years, it was miserable plus I was homesick. Then my husband got me a kitten and she is a real mess, shedding everywhere, miaw all the time and jump all over the place, but I love her and I keep her indoor
