What are the advantages and disadvantages of having a laptop?

advantage is it's portability. you can use it everywhere. but problem arises if you want to connect a no of devices like printer, scanner , sound system..... etc then it will loose it's portability. another thing is there... you can use a desktop pc as long as you want.... without shutdown you can use desktop pcs for a week, no problem will occur but in case of a laptop , it will surely result a harddisk crash.

the best part is to have mobility with laptop. I am in my bed now and posting on mylot....:)

It seems that it costs more to repair a laptop than it does a desktop, and it has been harder for me to find people who can repair them.

Hi. Laptops are obviously more expensive than pc's, hardware not as pwerful, you have cooling issues and battery life still not that great. unless portability is a key issue, i'd stick with a pc. Any one else can add to this?
