As i thought as when we fail in our Exam our parrent or some other relative people will first blame our school teacher or school management. They will not see what is our capasity of learning. All teacher want to do his best .This is totelly our fault .As per a sace of cricket team the same theory will be apply. A coach Can,t manage a team in Field Its totelly on player what he learn before and how he applying it.

The role of a coach is to motivate the players and to some extent indicate any technical faults with their game. And also would be to plan a strategy for the team. But to a team like India especially with players like Sachin, Saurav, Sehwag, the coach cannot simply teach them how to play. They have been around for a long time and they know how to do their things. The role of a coach would be here to bring the best out of them by some means. That is the job of a coach. If he cant do that, he is not fit enough to be a coach.

It is very clear that coach may find worth of a player, but if that player don't play, he cannot be blamed.Further what selectors giving his duty to coach them, if 100% selection done by the coach then he must be responsible.

I feel coach's job is mostly man management, to keep the players motivated and help in team bonding alongiwth the captain of the team. Then he is responsible for making strategies or plans for the team to carry out to win matches but if plan is not fully executed he can be held partially responsible as it is job of players job to execute the plan. I feel coach and captain should have a say in selection matters so that they can really be held accountable if poor selection didn't lead to desired results. Besides coach's canm help players understand finner points of the game and advise them on technical flaws that they might have developed in their game.

No, I don't think that coach is responsible for all the bad performance. Though he does have a certain responsibility. He has to play a vital and very vital role . But the main responsibility is of the players. It is them who has to perform and who has to face the opposition. The only responsibility of the coach is to make the guys prepare to play against every side. He has to play a role in making the initial planning. But the main responsible are the captain and the players.

Coach Work is only to guide the team activities and train them to win, but winning is in the hands of players so blaming coach is not right for the bad performance that players do on the field.
