Music does influence moods, it is true.
I have seen aggresive styles of music influence patients in my hospital the same as relaxing music will relax them.
When I say aggressive though that doesn't have to just be rap, or music with aggressive song words, simply music with an aggressive beat to it.

no i don't think rap music influences violence people do it's all about choices we all have a choice and we react differently to them whether in a positive way or negative I get disappointed when people try and blame stuff on some thing they have done on some other reason they chose to dot whether they admit it or not

People get stabbed and killed everyday.
Just because everyone got suddenly so interested in what 50 had to say about Ja, and vice versa, it became an issue.
Just like how 2Pac vs. Biggie was portrayed into a whole West Coast vs. East Coast.
Violence happens everyday regardless of movies or music. Who cares if 50 Cent got stabbed. Is that the turning point?
Oh my goodness, a rapper got stabbed after millions of people were fueling his war with another rapper. This must mean rap music is violent and influences violence.
What about all the violence and lives lost that has no direct connection with the entertainment industry? Does that not matter as much just because people don't care to be entertained by it?

I don't think so. Rap music is as fun listening as other music. They don't depict any violence. I really like the rapping style. But i have never tried to learn some rapping style. It is not bad to show violence in albums because we already see them in the movies. It doesn't make any reason for them for not showing violence in their albums
