I got an e-mail from a friend of mine that he heard that there is gonna be a gas strike on may 15th. They want no one to buy gas on may 15th apparently there was one back in 1997 and the prices came down some the next day because of it. But they are rounding $3 here a gallon and have already well reached that in some places it is a discrace that we have to work just to make enough money to get to work. If you read this please participate in the strike on May 15th.

Can you give us more info on the email you received? How is this supposed to work? If we don't buy gas and the oil companies lose big money on the 15th, won't they just raise prices on the 16th to make up for their losses? Will it actually hurt the oil companies or will it only affect the gas stations that have already purchased the gas for resale.
Is this a legitimate strike or just another on of those messages that just goes round and round and round on the internet.

To be honest I dont know I got the email from a friend of a friend but they were saying that back in 1997 that they did the same thing and I can kinda remember it a little but anyways they said that it worked and that the very next day prices did go down. I would say that it is worth a try.
