When my dad was ill , it was the most painful period for me. He was suffering from high fever. So i was in trauma. Daily during the nites i would sleep/ sit next to him.. cover his forehead wid a wet cloth periodically, so tat his temperature drops down. And during the day i was always with him..I used to keep a track of the the food he takes, and also give him timely medicines.. and was there with him till he recovered fully

Tulips, your actions and care for your father are very commendable. One of my insureds had a bad accident on Thursday, his van rolled over three times, he is about 70 and in bad shape, but not bad enough to stay in the hospital. He came into the office with his daughter and got his insurance claim rolling and his daughter told me her and her sisters were going to take care of him. Two hours later she called to ask if his insurance would cover a few weeks in the nursing home until he recovered because her and her sisters "couldn't deal with him 24 hours a day." I thought that was pretty lousy, push the old guy off into a nursing home. I could never imagine treating the man who gave me life, and busted his hump to provide for me that kind of treatment.
