I love pen and ink and charcoals best.I love that stark contrast of the black blacks and the white whites...I also used to enjoy getting in the darkroom with black and white projects.
What is your favorite media to look at and what subjects? What is your favorite to work with if you are artistic.I am loading a donkey named Pete that I did in pen and ink for a notecards for a fundraiser for rescuing wild donkeys so they wouldn't be culled(shot).
Do you like it?
Do you have anything you have done?

I'm not very good, but I love watercolors. I took a summer class in high school with the art teacher and I wanted to concentrate on watercolors, I didn't ever get very good, but I did learn how to really appreciate the work that goes into them!

I like it a LOT! I've only got 2 watercolors around, one is too large to scan in - its from the highschool & why I took the summer class. The other is a black one I did to illo a headless horseman Wild Wild West fan story someone else wrote.
My roomie (before she became the roomie) put out 3 Wild, Wild West fanzines, Wild, Wild Loveless, Wild, Wild Fanzine and Wild, Wild Crossover & she needed an illo for the headless horseman story. After 4 attempts with pen & ink, I discovered I needed to do the picture in a "faster" way to get the action I wanted & turned to watercolors. I'm not joking when I say I'm not the 1st, or even 3rd illistrator she turns to, but I'll have to say I did a pretty good job on that one.

I think it's more important if you like to do it.When I'm in pain sometimes I try to do some sketching to get away from the pain.Water color is not my media but I did do some childrens stuff with water colors.I put them on cards and were sold to help feed children in other countries.I'll upload one but be warned they are not good...

Hi Honey, Yes actually I love to draw and sketch, I have not done this in a couple of years but am thinking very seriously of taking this back up again as I used to love doing sketches of animals and the enviroment. No I have not kept any of the work that I did but whilst my children were growing up I used to do the sketching for them so that their project always looked more nice to look at. I love using crayons and charcoals to do my work with. xx

I love to draw when I was a kid, especially on walls. Self professed graffiti :P
However, ever since school start having art lessons, I hate drawing. I love to draw but I cannot draw. The grade is always a Fail. How demoralising. I cannot even draw mindmaps. However, I do technical drawing in school.

It looks nice :), myself I started drawing more seriously recently so still practicing on improving my skills mainly. Contrast is something which I definitely love as well, so black and white for that is great, brings out more contrast than colors do unless you're good with it.

We-ell, if you count my attempts at a straight line, which comes out with rather cute little unintended curves, nope! I am not at all good at art! I love trying, and I always used to like the pastels, smudging in the colours and making a general mess!
I am lucky enough to be with an artist and he IS good!
My favourite artists are a group of British artists, the PreRaphaelite Brotherhood, there is a lot of symbolism in their art and I really enjoy it. I was lucky enough to be able to visit the Tate gallery in London about twenty years ago when they had as many of the paintings as they could find all in the same exhibition. It was absolutely awesome and I spent all day just trying to memorise everything I had seen. As far as I know there has not been a similar exhibition since.
I also enjoy the work of Turner, his moody seas and skies I find very much in tune with my own moods.
There is not a lot of traditional art that I do no enjoy, but those are my absolute favourites.
Yes, I like Pete the donkey and i hope you have success in rescuing as many Donkeys as possible. Have you started a post giving greater details of this fundraising, as I am certain there will be many myloters who would like to support this. I would too, so please send me a personal mail. Thanks.

As you know I am a writer, and I create beautiful pictures with words. But I am no good with my hands at all. I can't even grow a plant. My fiance is an artist he paints beautiful pictures. He loves oil painting. We actually make a great pair, both creative people.

I like to paint. Canvas tends to inhibit me, so I prefer to paint on other items like rocks and shells. When I paint animals on rocks, I call them my "pet rocks."

No, I can't draw myself, but one of my neices is very good at it. She had some of her work published in a school book one year. She does charcoal drawings and she did one of both my son and my daughter and I had them framed and they hang on my wall. If only I had that kind of talent. I like to look at different types of things in charcoal. My favorite is people, if I can see what they look like and then see the charcoal. But, I also like animals and floral scenes. Yours are very good, you have a true talent.

Hi raydene, when I was younger I used and liked to draw or sketch and also do watercolor. I used to collect comicbooks and loved to look at the colorful arts and drawings.
You are very artistic and I like your donkey sketch. Its very good and the details are very evident. :-)
