I dont know if you this about me but I sometimes get in these moods to throw things out. And it has gotten me in trouble with my hubby because one time I threw out some real important papers. You see I didnt think he needed them anymore but he did indeed.Yes he figured it out that I threw them out. Well anyway I just went threw some of my cloths and got a couple of big trash bags full of clothes.LOL I love doing that. I think I have an addiction.LOL Any suggestions?

Yes, I do and I can't stand clutter!! I am one to save important things and collect things, etc. But things that are of no use to anyone, I see no reason to hang onto them. I am a tosser, I clean out drawers, closets, you name it. If it lays around the house long enough, I will toss it out! I do get in trouble from time to time, or get accused of throwing something out just b/c it cannot be found. But it is sort of addicting. But I like neat and clean.

You sound like me Terryz. I do the same thing, so I cannot suggest anything. It is our nature to clean up and clean out. We just cannot hord things forever.

i am like you, throw things that i thought i don't need in the house because i believe in getting rid of excess baggages and i believe that for new thing to come in , i need to trash out the old stuff and most often than not i get in trouble with myself for getting rid of somethings i thought i don't need by the time i needed it.lol, i just shrugged it off. my suggestion you keep your trashing to your own stuff and leave your hubby's trash to himself.

LOL I do the same thing. Shame on both us! LOL Seems he never does it but I was impressed last night when he went through his closet and got not just one...but two garbage bags to give away. LOL I am afraid to look at them as I know he put things in there that still had labels on them. LOL He just dont have the heart to tell family that he cannot wear regular clothes. He has to wear Tall sizes. He is 6 foot 4 inches tall in his bear feet. LOL

Thank God I'm not alone. I'm like you. Everyone in my family knows me for this. I like to throw unecessary stuff, I don't like to keep trash. I think one time I threw a parking ticket and my hubby has to pay an extra amount for that. I thought it was one of those receipts in his car because he's got a lot of them (from toll booth, parking, drive thru). That's the only time I messed up and threw something important, but I'm very careful now. But since then everytime that my hubby looks for something he can't find he always thinks I might have thrown them. Same thing with his clothes, I don't know why he's too lazy to put away those he doesnt wear anymore, like old shirts, loose briefs, socks with holes, boxers with holes it was all in his closet until I cleaned it up. He said he wants to keep his old shirts because it's still in good shape, I said hell no, he hasn't worn them for the last 10 years. So like you I love cleaning up and throwing. I hate to see something unecessary just lying around.

People have different ways of releasing their anger, anxiety or stress. It could be in a healthy or unhealthy manner and in your case, it's definitely the unhealthy way. If you are trying to get rid of this habit, you can start first by knowing the things that easily frustrates you so that you can anticipate it the next time it will happen. Then learn how you can control yourself by focusing on the things that will calm you like counting from 1 to 10 to compse yourself first before reacting.

I get the same way at times. i will be looking around and decide that I don't need something anymore. Thats when I start to go through everything. Its like spring cleaning except I do it more often then just in the spring. haven't thrown any of my partners stuff away however. I make him go through his as well. That way he can't blame me .

I am the same way, I try to do it every couple of months. If it is something that I have not used, worn, or seen for those months, it is either trashed or donated. I don't go through my husbands stuff, though, I make him do that! Yes, I agree, maybe you should try a 12 step program! Ha!Ha! Better luck next time, try to keep it under control! LOL

I think you would like to take a deep breath slowly when you have
bad moods and want to throw things.
