Can you still remember the day when you gave birth?

I can still vividly remember the day when i gave birth to my child. Even the smallest detail of my giving birth experience. It has been 5 years ago but it seems like yesterday. Maybe because the experience was both painful and joyous moment. My baby came out after 3 hours of labor at exactly 2 am. Plus i had to be rushed back to the delivery room for hematoma after 7 hrs and i celebrated my new year at the hospital. Who would forget that? Do share your giving birth experiences.

Sadly I can't remember every detail, already, and it was less than a year ago. But I had seizures while I was pregnant, and I can't remember what was happening while I had them. I had one during labor, so there's kind of a hole in my memory of that day.
But I do remember my best friend coming into the room to reassure me, when I was really really scared. And I remember my husband being so sweet and loving, and all the nurses and stuff marvelling that I was still sweet back to him the whole time. I remember when the doctor told me that my son was stuck and I had to have a C-section, after all that pushing I had been doing for hours at that point.
And I remember, finally, while I was still numb and terrified I was going to drop him, this beautiful little creature being put in my arms.=)

We always have a story to tell about giving birth. I intend to tell it to my child when he is old enough to understand so he may realize how precious he is.
