now I want to know about true loving mother in laws. Do you have a mother in law that goes out of her way to love you and accept you into her family? I have never been married so I do not get to respond. I'mjust trying to see what I may be up to for if I ever do get married.

Yes, in fact my mother-in-law accepted me since my husband and I were first boy/girlfriend. When we got married, she was very happy and to this day is still very accepting of me. She goes out of her way to help us, for example my internet service is something she gave us and pays for monthly, also she takes me shopping sometimes when she can, and every Friday she takes us out for lunch. Not only that but she treats me like one of her own, she never puts me down, she's a fantastic advisor and listener, and she is so much fun to hang out with. I feel very lucky to have a mother-in-law like her in my life. She also accepts me as I am.

mother in laws come in all personalities, just like people do in general, some are great, some are meddlesome, some are hateful and feel you are not good enough for their son, some are cold and stand offish mine was 3000 miles away from me so I was happy.

I'm divorced but have to say I was blessed with one of the most wonderful mother-in-laws in the world. Her son and I have been divorced for nearly 30 years but we still stay in touch, e-mails regularly now. It was funny when we all met in South Dakota for my #2 son's wedding, my parents, youngest son, ex-mother-in-law, and ex-sister-in-law all spent most of the 4 days there together. Saw sights in the area, had many meals together, sat together at the reception, and made a point of getting together to say good bye... My ex's second/current wife was not too happy with the situation but it's always been obvious that 'Mom' likes me much better than the second wife - but then I think everyone feels that way. I love my ex-mother-in-law dearly, she's a very special lady and very special to me but that's the type of person she is mother-in-law or not.

Oh believe me, there are some who don't like me but I like to think it's just because they are angry people and most likely don't like themselves either. But thank you for your thoughts, it does make me feel good.

I don't have a mother in law, as I've never been married. But I know that some mother in laws really may accept me in their families. I'm sure they will do it. I'm not the kind of guy that stores anger. You know, I'm a relaxed dude, I think I'll have a nice mother in law... Or at least, I hope so.

yes I had a mother in law that loved me like her own and if I ever needed anything she would be one of the first for me to call.
