Do you believe you have the right to know when one moves in your area , how do you feel when you find out that one has been living right beside you ? Do you believe that there should be a way to always know about the person who lives beside you ? Does this invade one's privacy or should we have the right to know who is living in our area and be able to refuse someone like this to live beside us ?

I think that you should be told that there is a paedophile living in your area just so you will be able to keep a better eye on your child and monitor what they are doing when they are out side and such.

Hello, samtaylorskykierajen,in australia, there is a website which have full details of the pedophiles there. People can access to it and know who and where they are,it may have breached the privacy to some extent, but in the view of the parents, it is important to know these information,no one want their children harassed by them.

convicted paedophiles have to register in any town that they move to there is a web site that tells you there address I feel like they loose there rights to privacy when the commit this crime as well they should but sad to say no we cant tell them where to live but they are not permitted to be around children and can report them if they are.

Yes, we should know where those people live. It's an important aspect of keeping our kids safe. There are registries that you can view for the people who live in your area complete with address, picture, conviction, and registration terms. Some only have to register for like 10 years. There are some who live in our area, fortunately none are close neighbors. Another downside of the registry is that it is not necessarily up-to-date, some have a 90 day delay with the updates and check-ups on whether the offenders ware in compliance.
I don't think you can refuse for somebody to live right next to you unless you live close to a school or daycare. They usually can't live near there. On the other hand you don't know if your neighbor is one but has not been caught yet. One should always exercise extreme caution, especially where the kids are concerned.
