The book that most changed my life was 'You can't afford the luxury of a ngative thought' by Peter Mcwilliams. I had been seriously ill, hated my jo and was generally depressed. I read this and it made me realise that we make ourselves ill and rundown worrying about things (much of it needlessly) and that by being positive you can turn things around and enjoy life more (it doesn't cure everything, but makes you see what is really important.)

It's actually a series of books. The chronicles of Gor written by John Norman. They are a series of fantasy/sci fi books based on an alternate universe that sits on the other side of the sun exactly opposite of us. It is a male dominated series and had shown that a lot of what I felt and believed was not unusual but was shared by many. The books have made me a stronger man, able to deal with situations in a more mature way. Before I was confused because of a lot of mixed messages that are given out in life. From talking to others who have read the series, I have seen that the books have been an influence for both men and women through out the world, though it's philosophies and beliefs are not for everyone.
