I start learning how to cook when I was in high school.I love watching my Mom cook and even help her prepare the dishes. When I got older, I became the cook in the house.I prepare different foods for my family and it was good they really like what I'm cooking for them. Now that I'm independent, I usually prepare my own food.I like it better than eating in a restaurant beacause I'm sure it's well done. Moreover,it's more economical and satisfying.

Good for you! When I was younger, my parents never taught us how to cook because my father used to do it for us. . Of course I do other chores like washing the dishes, washing & ironing clothes, cleaning the house, but not cooking. You could imagine how my husband reacted when he learned that I can't cook! On our first day as a couple, he expected me to cook a simple dish, but to his horror, I could not even slice the spices well! Honestly, my husband freaked out. He even jokingly commented that he would return me to my mother because of that little discovery--that I could not cook. So much for talking about me as a good housewife. Well, we had our first meal alright, but my husband took command of the kitchen, and all I did was to prepare the table and wash the dishes.

I lost my mother when I was just a child, my grandmother was very strict and from the age of 12 she started to teach me all house work incuding cooking, so by the time I got married at the age of 21, I was a successful cook.....lol, Yes I love to cook, and with grace of God eveybody likes my cooking, infact my family like only what I cook, they don't even enjoy in restaurants and they don't even like someone else cooking for them, but they don't realise how much extra work they are putting on me.....lol. I mostly cook all Indian food. When we were in India, we did enjoy going to restaurant, but since we have migrated to Israel, we like only home made Indian food. I am happy that I can cook good food. Thanks to My (late) Grandmother.
