How can I convince my child to eat food?

My kid is running 4 years old. But, he doesn't want to eat food. He just drinks milk always. Though he sometimes eats chocolate, candy, cake, ice cream, and the likes. How can I convince him to eat his meal? Vitamins didn't do any good. Please advise...
