I can see that pirated CDs are being banned and the government are having a hard time catching the mastermind behind Pirated CDs. Those in the poverty line are much agree on having the pirated CDs around because they cant afford buying the original ones. However it is the music industry that suffers a lot because of these illegal works.
I would like to as then if i bought an original CD and a friend of mine wants a copy. If i make a copy via CD Burning and give it to him. Is that considered Pirate CD even if i bought the original CD?

Come to think of it, the reason why they say that copying Cds is bad is not because you make a profit out of it but because you take away the chance for someone who owns the songs on that CD to profit. Hence even if you give away a Cd and not sell it then it is still bad because the songwriters lose their chance to profit from their songs which if you havent given away would make your CD's recipient to just buy a copy. However, come to think of it, not all musicians profit from their songs. It is the record company who produces it.

Copying CD for personal archiving is good but distributing it illegally to your friends is not so good. Try to avoid it as usual. The loss the companies take from pirated CD is then affected to their subsequent releases and their quality decreases.
