With Dallas being sent home to an early vacation by the Warriors, and Miami sent by Bulls for a Summer vacation on Long Beach, the spot light is now focused on San Antonio Spurs and the Phoenix Suns. This one will go down the wire, we will also see the match-up of the two greatest Forward/Center in the League Amare Stoudemire and Tim Duncan. Both teams will rely on this two big man. The winner of this match-up will determine the winner in the series. Its also nice to see the match-up of the two best defenders in the League, S. Marion of the Suns and B. Bowen of the SPURS. Who will get busted at the defensive end??
The two top or best 6th man in the league is also with the team, the argetinian pride or the Brazilian blurr. WHo will be the best bench player? and talking of bench players, the SPurs got Manu, Big shot Rob, and Finley while SUns have Diaw, Thomas. And at the point guard position, it would be Nash the more experienced, and Parker the not so experienced player. Nash will need some breather to keep up with Parker. And D'Antoni will probably give the assigment to Marion on guarding Parker.
now its up to the two best coaches to run the best show in the western conference and their players.
who do you think would win??

yup let see who will win..
game1 is in the book.
Now that Nash had recieved 6 stitches in his nose less than 60secs in regulation, thanks to PARKEr. But i hope that wouldn't change the way nash orchestrate the Suns offense. Stoudemire got busted up,or beaten up by big man rival Duncan. He must increase his playing level to the way he played before the start of the play off. Marion should be the one to defending Parker. The bench of Suns should also get going, the "brazilian Blur" must show fans why he deserve the award more than his rival Manu Ginobili of the Spurs.
lets wait for game2, will they bounce back?? or be beaten up again.

The Suns owns the home-court advantage on this series.
At backcourt, Marion can do it all as he is dangerous from the outside and is effective driving to the hoop, while Stoudemire is a force down low and is also able to fill a lane when Nash leads the Suns on the break. He is completely healthy and will be very difficult for the Spurs to stop. Jones makes his living from the outside and will only stay on the court if he is hitting his shots. On the other team, Duncan is still one of the top forwards in the game and Bowen knows his role and takes a lot of pride in his defensive work. The Suns athleticism wins out here, so they have the edge on frountcourt.
MVP Nash continues to make all of his teammates better and is the catalyst of the Suns' offense. Bell is not afraid to get his hands dirty. He's the best perimeter defender of his team and a solid outside shooter too. San Antonio's Parker is not an easy matchup for Nash, and Bell will have his hands full with Ginobili and Finley when they are on the court. Parker will always be at the point, while Finley or Ginobili are both capable backcourt mates for Parker. This should be a great battle on backcourt.
On the bench, Barbosa can play both guard spots and is effective scoring or dishing the ball to his teammates. He was clutch against the Lakers and they will be needing a similar performance from his lightning-quick guard in this series. Boris Diaw can play all three spots in the frountcourt, while Kurt Thomas is a physical low-post player and does his best work around the basket. On Spurs, big man Fabricio Oberto, guards Brent Barry and Ginobili and ofcourse the veteran Horry will give their team some solid options off the bench as all are capable of playing multiple positions. Both coaches have solid options. Popovich's veteran bunch of reserves will play more minutes, while Barbosa and Diaw will be D'Antoni's go to players off the bench.
This would be a great series. The Spurs are a veteran team who have experienced what it feels like to win a championship. The Suns have the MVP point guard and the young lions who are ready to show that they can beat the mighty Spurs with heir free-wheeling offense.
Nash and the Suns over Duncan and the Spurs in SIX GAMES.

You forgot something. The Phoenix Suns play clean and the San Antonio Spurs (Bruce Bowen, in particular) are already branded as "dirty" players. I've never seen Robert Horry clothesline anyone like that, but it sure looks intentional and out of frustration.
Maybe the crowd will play into the mix a bit, as well. Phoenix runs arguably the most exciting basketball anywhere in the league, and it just follows that their fans are one of the most excited people whenever they watch their team. San Antonio? Sure, Tony Parker can be flashy but their main man, Tim Duncan, is one of the most boring high-scoring players I've ever seen. There's Mr. Fundamentals for all of you. Honestly, who's excited to watch him play? Which crowd would you expect to be more rabid come game time? I'd bet it's the Suns' fans.
I'm just sharing my thoughts. Bah.

For me, I'm betting for the Phoenix Suns. The Suns are more talented than the Spurs. If the Suns offensive efforts will go flawless, the Spurs will be caught racing their breaths to catch up with the Suns.
Also, with Kurt Thomas, guarding Tim Duncan, the Spurs will find a hard time shooting the ball.
I've been watching the Suns for three years now, and I believe this will be their championship years. No doubt about it. Go, go, Suns.

its not about talent..its about the passion for the game..their desires to win, and experience in games like this, SPURS got the leading over all this category, and the evidence is the win over SUNS in game six.
and if think about talent, SPURS is more talented than SUNS thats my opinion.. its jazz vs. spurs now..

i'd pick phoenix over san antonio in this match-up. the suns have a lot better talent than san antonio. steve nash runs the phoenix offense and open court game pretty well, and amare stoudemire and shawn marion are good finishers. raja bell, leandro barbosa and jumaine jones have good shooting range and extends beyond the arc. the advantage the spurs have is their experience. but i dont think it would be enough to stop the suns

for me,SA will be the last winner,i bet the suns can not play the pace they enjoy in the regular, for the spurs owns TD,not phisical but smart and experienced and in 100% health.TD will take charge of the game.anyway,It'll be the most exciting series.
