Sorry I haven't been around at all. Aside from the other things I said I have a toothache making the entire side of my face hurt. I came down with it on Friday evening too. What luck huh? I tried to drink it off first but that just left me feeling horrible. I knew pain killers wouldn't do much for this. I got some today and they are doing little more than slightly dulling the pain right now. I'm going to try to get into the dentist tomorrow and then maybe I will stop being such a snob. Have any of you found something good for a really horrible toothache? I could use any kind of help.

I had my share of toothache in the past.
Some people are more resilient to pain than some other. I can sustain a lot of pain.
But try cleaning your teeth with some of that sensitive toothpaste (forgot the proper name for it).
If you have a cavity... it is the air going in it that make it hurt... and also things like sugar. It could also be sensitive to either cold or hot.
Try to put some bread around your tooth so as to fill the cavity and prevent things getting in.
Taking some aspirin or panadol should also give you some relieve. But the only cure is the dentist.

THANK YOU! I've been thinking about something i could safely put back there to keep it safe from air/spit for a while. I luckily got one of those doctors that's quick with the Panadeine Forte prescriptions, but they're still not knocking it completely out. But seriously, thank you for the bread idea. I am gonna see if i can do that for a while. Might even pad my tooth and make it so that I can eat something sort of solid.

If I bite anything right now I'll either scream or break it in half! Thank you for responding to me though.

I wish that I had some good suggestions for your toothache. Since this was written a week ago, hopefully you aren't hurting so badly anymore though. My oldest son has been suffering from a very bad toothache too, and I was hoping to find some sort of home remedy that might help him since I am having a hard time convincing him to go to the dentist.

Well I don't get to get mine out til June 1, but the best things that helped me before they gave me antibiotics and a mess of painkillers was heat and the thing Aussies said about the bread. Good luck getting him to go!

Try applying Olive oil or Clove oil on the pain area. This is what my mom does usually and it usually reduces the pain, but this is just a temporary solution. Pls go to the doctor and get it treated if you want to make permenant recovery.

Thanks for the reply. I made it to the doctor today. Turns out that it's so infected they had to give me 2 antibiotics, more pain killers and the dentist there is making me go to a dental surgeon because she doesn't want to pull my devil possessed diabetic tooth.
