Vermicelli

Can anyone tell me what is vermcelli.I believe it is an Italian dish.

Vermicelli is not a 'dish'. It is something like noodles or pasta - something dry, which can be boiled and added to a variety of things to make a suitable dish. Vermicelli is used extensively in India to make sweets and salty dishes too. Singaporeans and Chinese use it like noodles. I haven't heard it being used in any Italian dishes so far.
