This question have been a good question in this end time. I have seen different people who goes to church, held one or two positions in the church, pray always, but at the end you discover that they are not really serving God with the whole of their mind. I think a really christian is someone who is dedicated to God's word, someone who is doing everything to the glory of God, one who is ready to please God no matter the trials and temptation, one who is always trying to stay away from sin no matter the consiquences, one who loves everybody irrespective of who and what they are and so on. What would you have to say about this???? Who do you think are real christians??
Thanks for you response in advance!

Someone once said that "going into a church doesn't make you a Christian any more than going into a garage makes you a car."
People will be people no matter where they are. There are some who go to church and love the Lord with all that they are. There are some who go, as you discovered, and only make a pretense, for what reasons we do not know.
(By the same token, there are those who never go to church, but love the Lord with all that they are.)
Also, while what you saw may not have glorified God, it doesn't mean that person is not a Christian. None of us are perfect, so we much learn to make allowances for others.
Your ideal of what a Christian is unfortunately not that commonly realized, simply because we are all imperfect and continually in need of a Savior.

Yea you really have a point, but we aren't trying to judge anybody here, we are only trying to share our views on our religion in this end time. Thanks for your response. Have a nice day.

So true, theFuture.
Even though we are Christians, we are still sinners and need Christ's forgiveness everyday. We yearn for the Lord and we want to please Him. We admit we are sinners and we admit that we need God. We love the Lord and we strive to live in the way that pleases Him.
Jesus belongs to all people and everyone needs to hear the Good News of Him.
God bless!

I'm not a Christian anymore but there was a time when I was and I can honestly say that ppl who claim to be solid devoted God fearing Christians yet turn around and pass judgement on others, disrespect anyone or anything (regardless of how positive/good/proper etc etc it may be) that differs from them, lack compassion, are rude verbally abusive (with WHAT they say not HOW they say it) and the list goes on...THEY are IMO FAR FROM Christians....
A true Christian to ME personally is a person who is kind, compassionate, understanding and loving in one form or another to others regardless of whether or not that person/group of ppl believes as they do...true Christians are devoted to their God but not blinded by him or the bible..Ppl who are true to their faith without causing distress, hutt or sorrow in others over our differences and so on THOSE to me are the TRUE Christians in the world

Wonderful way with words!
I do know what is going on around me. Lots of good things and some bad things.
I keep my eyes on Jesus and His plan for me. He controls my life and He blesses me every single day.
We are not to keep Jesus to ourselves. True Christians spread the Good News of Jesus Christ everywhere they can. I will not keep quiet about His awesome love!
God bless.

You didn't once even mention the Lord Jesus.
A true Christian follows Jesus Christ and He is number 1 in their lives. He dwells within them and they are changed and have new lives.
Anyone can be kind, compassionate, etc when things are going well for them. But even in the midst of hardship, they still have the love and joy of Christ in them.

Those who treat you as they would like to be treated. They exist, but are few and far between, sadly.

I have to agree with you on all points but we must also remember we are all human and no one but Jesus is perfect. We are going to have 'times' but we should always strive to be the closest to Christ and Christ like as we can.
I think having a true relationship with Christ is what makes us a Christian - not just talking the talk but walking the walk, the walk with Christ, daily.

To me a Christian is a follower of Christ's words from the Holy Bible. They have a personal relationship, and honor Him with their praise and they live to serve Him. They are compassionate, loving, and helpful to anyone. They do not judge anyone about anything. They read the word, and walk with the Light. Yes, there are Christians like that. I go to a church like that.

Yep, "walk In Light" but what type of light do they walk? or let me say; what did you mean by light. Cos, there many religious out there, that do talk about light also, so i beleive each and every one of them have a meaning to the word LIGHT. thank for someone helping us to know the type of light you are talking about.

Hi future,
Real Christians are those who have given their lives to Jesus Christ and strive to follow Him. They have acknowledged their sins and have repented and have started a new life. The slate is clean!
Christians aren't supposed to love the things of this world. Sometimes, we get too worldly and get caught up in the things of this world. We need to focus more on God and spend more time alone with Him in prayer.
True Christians have a certain kind of joy in them and you can see it in the way that they live. Even when they are going thru a difficult time, you still can see and sense that joy within them. They don't worry like the pagans/unbelievers do. They know that they get their strength from the Lord and He keeps all of His promises.
True Christians are humble. They put others before themselves. They are forgiving and loving. They suffer along with others. They laugh with others and cry with others. They care. They love. They forgive.
There is no such thing as a perfect church. Churches are full of sinners...some are saved and some are unsaved. We go to church to worship and praise God and to encourage and love each other. It is so special and I believe that it is very important for every Christian to be an active member of a good Bible believing church.
Great topic!
God bless!

A true Christian is one who follows Jesus Christ. They have repented of their sins and have become a new person. I love the illustration that Dr Charles Stanley gives of a new Christian...a butterfly from it's cocoon(sp). They have changed and are no longer the same.
They live for Christ. Christ dwells within them and you can see the love of Christ thru them.
I love Jesus! He has changed my life so much and has blessed me beyond measure!
God bless!

Why would that leave me out of the "group"? You do not know the Lord, you do not love good, you hate what God represents, so therefore, you would not see that kind of love.
God bless.

I am not sure of the answer to this question. I do not go to any church. I believe in Jesus and rely upon God for everything I need. I pray in solitude in my room. I believe I am a christian.

I agree with you on this one. I have friends that go to church all the time and I think they are one of the few that are true christians but she believes going to church that much is going to keep her marriage more alive, based on statistics. My dad don't really ever go to church but has been blessed with the holy spirit and is very loving. I honetsly read my bible and worship him in my home because I really don't have time to go to church on certain days at certain times. I work nights until like 7 am and I am beat when I am done but I think true christians are the ones that live by the bible and raise thier kids by the bible on a daily basis.

First off, no one is perfect, let alone in their adherence to any ideology. That being said, the best Christians are those who do there best to emulate Christ, to show mercy, compassion, and pity to all our fellow human beings, to not judge others, to treat others well, to go forward with faith and without fear, to stand up for what is right, to be peaceful, to give Love to all, particularly the sinners and the needy. A perfect Christian would behave obviously like Christ, or even like the Buddha. Christ says to pray directly to the Father, sat with the sinners and showed no tolerance for the self-righteous. Christ was not about laws, as he showed again and again, but was about doing thing's for rightness' sake, feeding the hungry, offering salvation for the hopeless, and he shewed us all that we are all equal in the Kingdom of Heaven.

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them." - Matthew 7:15-20
"No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. The good man brings good things out of the good things stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil things stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks." - Luke 6:43-45
You're right in saying that a true Christian is one who puts God first. Whether or not a person does that would reflect in the kind of life he or she leads.
