general discussions vs interests

hi everyone! is there any difference when starting a discussion and placing it under 'general discussion' intead of placing it under your interests?
if i place my discussion under general discussion, will the other myLot users able to see it even if its not under their interest?

That's a good question, and unfortunately I'm not quite sure. But I have found that if I place my discussion under an interest (preferrably one that a lot of people have) then I will get a lot more hits than if I place it under general discussion, so I would recommend doing that. If I can't think of an interest it would go under, it usually goes under life because pretty much everything can fall under that category! Lol.

ow, now i see.. because i havent organize my interests yet and whenever i create/start a new discussion im placing it under the general discussions but unfortunately only few responses are acquired, thats quite sad, well thank you dopey22girl! :D maybe i must take time to organize my interests too. hehe
