What is the best software for web applications

Hey Friends, Please tell me what is the best software for create a fully customized web page? I heard lots of people use PHP, ASP.net, Java, etc. I'm going to learn one of those. So I couldn't understand which is to learn. ASP.net is new. But PHP is old. So which is the best? And which is easy to learn? Please somebody who with through knowledge in this field, guide me to achieve my goal. Your valuable guidence honestly appreciated. Thanks.
