I am looking for a new (upgrading) computer. I am presently using a Sony Vaio computer with 512 RAM and a 60 Gig Hard Drive. I will be using it for my photo business. When I have checked with stores I have been shown gamming computers. I know ai want a large Hard Drive and I want a CD/DVD Burner and lots of USB Ports. What are your suggestions. I do mainly photos editing with Photoshop Elements. Your help is appreciated.

Do you have the confidence and know how to select what exactly you want in your computer? How much do you have to spend on your new pc?

I know that I need at least 1 Gig of Memeory and a large 300Gig hard Drive. I have been told that AMD has a very good processer and so does Intel. I am looking for photographers and whattype of computer they are using and are they satisfied with them? As to the money I would like to keep it below $2,000, including a flat panal monitor.

I have ordered a new pc from computerplanet recently and i am waiting for it to be delivered. I payed $450 for it which i think is about £1000 or just under. In essence its a 4ghz processor (dual core), 2gig of ddr2 mem, 512mb 7950GT graphics card, 7.1 sound card. You could easily get a great computer for under $2000 if you go to sites like computerplanet. Or if you dont want to customise it yourself then Dell do some ok deals on pre built machines.
