If you want immediate, fairly steady income, then writing articles makes much more sense. You can spend a long time writing a book, then not be able to find a publisher. Or get it published and have it fail to sell. You have to be pretty dedicated to write a book, and if you aren't a particularly good writer, it doesn't matter how dedicated you are, it's probably not going to be very good.
There are a lot of people trying to earn money as a writer, but most of them, will never be able to earn a living at it. People who don't even bother to read much, and who have a very weak grasp of language think that because their friends praise their writing, they're going to succeed as writers. The internet has contributed to people thinking that writing is easy and that they're better at it than they really are.

That is kinda what I have been thinking. but I was hoping that if someone really worked at improving their writing maybe someone (mark that as me) could learn to write well enough to make a living.
I have been writing a tiny bit for associate content, but I don't feel like my writing is all that great. So I need to work on my writing.

My cousin and I wrote a romance novel once. It was a lot of fun but we didn't do it for money, just to see if we could. I think writing can be a good career choice but not a lot of people get rich doing it. And some people never get to quit their day jobs. But if you have something to say, keep writing!

Thanks, I am hoping I can learn to write well enough to have a very good income,
I think that I may could with practice, I have been told by many different people that I have a natural talent for writing.
But I do have a problem with my grammar so I need to work on that.

I guess some of it depends on whether you want to write fiction or non-fiction. If you want to write non-fiction, you could decide what things you are interested in writing about and then figure out where the markets are. Articles would be easier to place than books, maybe, to begin with, and good practice.

I've always wanted to write a book since I was young (fiction) but have never really seriously looked into it, or thought about what to write. I've recently started keeping a dream journal to see if I get any ideas from there.
I think unless you are very good, then writing novels would be hard to make a living at. I wouldn't know about articles though, I think they can be easier to write as long as you have a good grasp of writing and grammar skills

Writing amd grammar skills can be learned though so maybe that would be a good place to start.
First with articles and work your way up to books right??
Maybe novels would be a poor choice unless you naturally like to talk a lot.
or are creative by nature,.somthing for me to think about I suppose
