Do you dance?

Now I am not talking about out in a club or at a formal event..I'm talking about boogeying around in your house for no apparent reason other than because you feel like it! Do you hear a song on the radio/ipod/cd player/or in your head and just start gyrating across the floor? If you do enjoy this kind of energy and freedom, do you only do it when no one is looking or are you uninhibited enough to bust a move no matter who is home or in the room? I have always been this way...so call me crazy or join me daily...it's a freeing experience that I absolutely love...How about you? Whether anyone is watching or you are gleefully expressing yourself...do you dance?

Yes, I dance for exercise. I would not want anyone to see me, but I love the way it feels. I have gotten pretty uninhibited, but only in my own space.

Terrific...I am so glad that you use this as a preventative tool...dancing the blues away is a great thing!!!! For me it's really hard to be sad, depressed or grumpy when my feet want to dance!!! LOL Good for you...We should all try it when we are feeling down...:)

I love to dance and I do the same thing as you. I will even "moove to the groove" while sitting here in the chair at the computer. But I prefer not to have an audiance. Well, the dogs are usually watching but they just look at me funny.

My dog used to be my best critic..we would laugh that when I was outrageous and crazy he would walk off and lay down with his head turned!!! But when I was really "cutting a rug" he would try to dance with me!!! LOL LOL LOL...Keep on dancing!!!

I am laughing as I write this, because I do the exact same thing, usually when I'm doing my housework! if I hear a favourite song on the radio, I just can't help myself, I sing at the top of my voice and boogie with the vac! (my dogs get excited and join in). I have done it in front of my hubby, but not with as much gusto! He loves watching, so I should just let myself go anyway. I couldn't do it in front of anyone else though. You are right, it does give you a feeling of exhuberance and freedom - good for the soul.

Very good for the all of the body and soul!!! It's hard not to smile when you're shaking a leg to a catchy tune....and you should let go...let your creative side take over...what's that song say.."free your mind, the rest will follow!!"...I find it very energizing and a total kick in the pants...Although I usually limit my "moves" to my house..one day I was out on my deck and "got the urge" so did a little dance to a song I could hear..immediately I heard applause and looked over to see my neighbor cheering for more!!! LOL We still laugh about it~~!!! In my mind dancing is ageless..I hope I'm doing it when I'm 95!!!

As we say in Australia - "Good on ya mate". I hope you are still dancing too at 95! I think you will be!

When a good song comes on the radio, I'll usualy start danceing around the room. My wife laughs her *ss off when I start to shake my butt to the music on the stereo. I guess I feel the music on certain songs and have to start moving to it. Take care!!

Hi rx4life! Yes, I dance in my house! I love to just dance when the spirit moves me. What I love the best is just "busting a move" as you said in front of my granddaughter. She gets so embarrased and tells me to stop, like I'm too old to know how to dance. I've always been the one to just hear a song that I love and start to dance. My son is older now, he just shakes his head and says "Do your thing Ma" But I find it so funny to see my granddaughter's reaction. She is 12, so you know that everything Grandma does is totally embarrasing anyway. This was a very nice and lively question, thanks for posting it and you take care...

My grandkids are 4 and 6 ( boys) so they are still young enough to sometimes want to dance with me...we turn up the music and boogie away...my kids grew up knowing I am apt to break out in off key singing or bad dancing at any moment..they too just let me do my thing!!! Life is too short to be serious all the time..Instead of dancing with the stars..I'm dancing with myself...but the judges can be harsh!!!LOL You keep busting a move and your granddaughter will love those memories!!!

Good to have a forgiving partner...and a willing one at that!!! Dancing more often may encourage a good mood!!! Be well and dance frequently!!! :)
