I had been playing mmorpgs for 2 years when i quit. my parents had always told me that that game was taking control of my life, and now that im a little older i can see how that was true.
do you guys think that these games are really a way to have a fun or are they just uncontrollable addiction?

I never really got to play mmos like wow or anything because i didnt have any money to pay for them, the only mmos i played were the free ones that were quite tacky and guildwars, although i play battlefield 2142 which is kind of mmo i guess but because i dont have money i cant afford to play wow and those other pay per month games but the computer still rules my life...big computer geek hehe

A way to have fun, I have played MMO's for 8 years and I still do every now and then. Although I can get up in it quite well, play for long times a day, days after each other. I can also simply stop at once if needed, my life never depends on it. Although people tend to start depending on me in games usually.
I personally think it will only turn into an uncontrollable addiction if you are sensitive to addictions.

I have played for about a year, andi play it for a personal sense of breeding something to get better. It always pleases me to advance in something, and for gaming, it is level and skill.
