Serious constipation - how did you treat it.

My 10 yr son has been seriously constipated for the past 6 -8 wks. Went to Dr. in April and he wants samples for parasites. He goes 3 days then has a BM, but not when I can get a sample. We've used fiber supplements, exlax, Mirolax and finally an enema today. He fought like a wild cat when we did the enema. He still didn't go as much as I thought he would. He eats really healthy, apples, water, fruit juice. Have any of you dealt with this? Any natural methods? He's a real baby about anything that taste bad.
