is it ok for a girl to earn more than her boyfriend?

i have been working for quite some time now and so is my boyfriend.the thing is, im earning four times what he earns. of course, for me it doesn't matter. but i know to some it does.i know two people before who really like each other, the girl is earning so much more than the guy and that caused the guy to start thinking small of himself and because of that he stayed away from the girl and that broke her heart.
what do you think?does it matter to you that the girl earns more than the guy?

Heh, sick and tired of the men`s jelousy to their successfull girlfriend. And sick and tired of their complexes because of this reason. Many men really think that their financial supremacy will be forever.And of course, they are completely wrong.
It`s OK for a girl to be independent, to have good money and not be treated just as barbie doll or house wife untill her man has own career.

yeah you're right. i think some men would want their wife/girlfriend to also work..as long as they stay less succesful or as long as they earn less.but good thing not all men are like that. my boyfriend doesn't mind at all that i earn that much and he's very supportive of me in my career
