This is something I have done for a long time. There has been a lot of research on it recently to prove it does work. Does anyone else have success in it. During difficult times I also use St. John's wort.

I have done exercising whenever i am depressed.. It helps since i let myself get busy with something and i never have to think constantly of something that is bothering or worrying me. I know i supposed to do exercise regularly coz it helps not only our physical but also our mental and emotional health.

I am on anti-depressants which I know I will have to be on for the rest of my life - probably a chemical imbalance. I have tried going off a couple of times and the onset of depression was almost immediate. I do well on the anti-depressants but that does not mean I don't get down once in awhile, especially with this illness, my inability to work, the financial struggles that go with them.
I do find that exercise invigorates me both physically and psychologically. The bonus of losing weight is also a pick-me-up. Walking out in the sunshine now that spring is here makes me feel great. And it all tires me out enough to give me a good night's sleep at the end of the day, which we fibromites have trouble getting.
But contrary to doctors' opinions, exercise will not CURE fibromyalgia. I had two doctors tell me that when I was first diagnosed. Exercise helps keep your muscles from stiffening, gets your heart rate up, and helps with depression. But it will not cure fibromyalgia. It is one of the methods used to manage your illness.
