Well tonight was definitly not surprising. Dustin aka Skreech acted like a total jerk as usual. They played back what he said about the other contestants and needless to say they weren't happy to hear what he had to say. Then Dustin decided that he didnt want to be on the show anymore because he didnt want to hear what the others had to say. Tell me what you thought about tonights show.

I agree that Dustin (aka "Screech") SEEMS like a "jerk", on the surface, but what I c, UNDERNEATH all of his "bravado", is a guy in some serious PAIN! If u listened closely, when he did his "weigh in", and Harvey was telling him 2 stay in the fight, Dustin said the only reason 2 stay in a fight is 2 have a chance at victory, and when he said the word "victory", u could hear his voice "choke up" I feel he was on the verge of tears, but, of course, he held them in quite nicely, and continued 2 put on his FACADE of not caring 1 way or the other. We ALL have our own ways of dealing with our pain, and it manifests differently 4 all of us, depending on our natural temperament, and our upbringings, and the coping mechanisms that we adopt 2 survive. I feel that he is very bitter, because he's no longer the cute little child star, and even THEN, he was the NERD, not the "ladies man", like Zack and Slater were! His stand-up career, obviously, isn't going THAT well, 4 him 2 have 2 resort 2 selling t-shirts 2 make his mortgage! And, he probably isolated himself from the "Saved By The Bell" cast, because he felt rejected, like he didn't really fit in with them. Of course, his 1st experience with rejection probably occured with his family of origin, and most likely, his parents. So, we'd need 2 know more about his childhood 2 really understand this. So NOW, he causes "drama" on the OUTSIDE, because, subconsciously, he's trying 2 keep people at a DISTANCE, because he's afraid of being hurt. And, what better way 2 make people DISLIKE u, than 2 talk NEGATIVELY about all of them! I believe that he really WANTS 2 be a part of the group, and that he DOES wanna "connect", but he's both afraid, and UNSURE as 2 HOW 2 do this! He probably feels like just being HIMSELF, and being VULNERABLE, that people WON'T like him, the REAL him, and so he DOES the "rejecting" 1st, 2 "lessen the blow", so 2 speak. It's like the fat kid who makes jokes about THEMSELVES, so that other kids can't really have any "power" in telling the fat jokes, because that person is ALREADY making fun of themselves, so there's nothing left 2 say! The reason why Dustin wanted 2 "bail" is because, even though he's co-creating this negative situation, everyone ELSE's reactions 2 him are EQUALLY TOXIC 2 the situation, so that makes Dustin just "shut down" even further! Harvey calling Dustin a failure and a quitter is NOT gonna make him let down his guard, and be vulnerable, and show his REAL emotions! NOBODY wants 2 feel "ganged up" on! And, even though Stacy (the psychologist) could c his isolation pattern, and asked him what's REALLY going on, the environment already felt HOSTILE, so Dustin had no interest in opening up at that point! I think it would take a person, who approaches him in a calm, NON-JUDGEMENTAL way, (and who really sees that his "jerk" persona is just a cover-up 4 his PAIN, and really has COMPASSION) 2 get 2 the bottom of WHY he behaves the way he does. But, the panel ISN'T approaching him this way. Both Harvey and Ian are telling him that he's a waste of their time, so, 2 me, they're CONTRIBUTING 2 the negativity! I'm NOT excusing Dustin's behavior at all! All I'm saying is that u can't fight "fire WITH fire"! When a man "screams", we must learn 2 "whisper". I know that the show isn't just ALL about Dustin, and they are NOT "babysitters", but if they REALLY want him 2 stay, and they REALLY wanna know what's going on with him, DEEP DOWN, SOMEBODY'S gonna have 2 approach him differently! And, Dustin has 2 look within HIMSELF as well, 'cuz how u treat others is a DIRECT REFLECTION of how u feel about YOURSELF! So, with all of the "bad" stuff he's said about everyone ELSE, imagine the things he says 2 HIMSELF...ABOUT himself! Just my thoughts.

Dustin is acting absoultely ridiculous and I am starting to think that it is just because he wants more camera time. And acting like a jerk is definently helping him reach his goal. The entire show was focused on him and they didn't even have time to really show the other 4 contestants weigh in. I think that he is really a jerk and he dishes it out but he can't take it. He really puts other people down and attacks their weaknesses and at the same time claims that he is the one being attacked. I really hope that Warren G or Cletus gives him the beat down that he deserves.
