Its almost summer and I'm starting to get worried about my new little pet, a dwarf hamster I named Tinkerbell. I just got her 2 weeks ago. I hear past 80 degrees could kill them. So I'm a bit worried. I hope it wont get that hot since we live near the ocean. But still its a chance. We have A/C but my parents WONT be letting me use that much if at all. So any tips to keep my hamster cool during the summer? I'm worried about it and her now that I think about it. Fans? Close or open windows? I hear putting them where its coolest is good too. I think the bathroom would work then because it has no windows! Well ANY help would be great! Thank you again!

Open the windows and run a fan. Dont point directly on the little guy. Just cool the room down. Make sure he dosent get to cool though. Keep your room around 70 degrese is good.

Fans always come in handy for this type of thing. You could purchase a small fan to place in your room or where ever you have your hamster and keep that going during the day. At night, you may not need it because the temperature drops, but if it's still really warm, I'd use it as often as you need too. Don't forget that fresh cool water daily can help too, but make sure the water isn't too cold though. Don't want to shock them.
