hi!
i've worked with convergys too! directv is my account, and i'm from cvg commonwealth. my sister also works in convergys, in ortigas site, email support =)
well, based on my experience, CVG has the best training and working atmosphere a call center can offer its employees. even the guards are very friendly! but i know a lot of other centers offer bigger salaries.

I'm a technical support rep for AT&T and I've been in the company for 3 years now. I'd have to say that this is a good experience so far. I'm still learning a lot and the pay is ok.

I worked for Convergys for a year and a half. It was my first job and it has been such a wonderful experience. Great people, great minds. i can see how everyone does their best in delivering good results. One of my most memorable experience was when Convergys held a quarter review at greenbelt. I think it was around March. After the presentation, we watched Transformers sponsored by the company. ehhehe.. I'm no longer for Convergys. I moved not because the company was bad. In fact, it took me a week before I accepted a new offer thinking that I love the company. Career advancement is my only reason to move to another company and in any case there's a real great opportunity at Convergys, I won't mind going back. Cheers!

I have worked for cvg alabang for directv acct for 2 years and 8 months. It was my dream to join convergys since I joined the call center business. I agree the work environment was cool, the people were cool and awesome... and the giveaways were very useful hehe. I miss cvg, I left cause I had to get a better paying job. The acct was too stressful for me too. But Convergys is a good company...if not one of the best BPO company in the country!

Yes, I used to work at the Dartmouth location here in Canada. My calls were for AT&T wireless at that time (like, 8 years ago). It's a great workplace and the worker benefits are really good but if you don't like working around hundreds of people, it isn't so good.

Good for you people!!! I worked for convergys for 3 years then, resigned this year. My first year was ok. I was having fun. But as time passes...Getting my OT pay was really hard. I don't get it all if I don't dispute it. If you're the type of person who would keep quiet and do nothing...what you worked for will be wasted. I have to dispute alot of times before I get what's supposed to be mine.
2 years passed... my pay was getting lower and lower...bonuses disappeared. incentives are gone. What the*#*@!!! My last account was DTV by the way.
Until, now, it's has been months..I haven't gotten my back pay..which includes my tax refund. I've completed all the requirements and clearance. Still..nada!!!
People in HR are very slow. NOt organized and what you call "tamad". I am not speaking for every HR personnel..a few..but, really annoying peeps.
If you will observe.... you'll notice...
But, to you guys ..I'm happy for you.... maybe, depending on the site you are in...that really made a difference.
Too bad for me..i ended up THERE !!!

im currently working in cvg cebu. i can say that it has its shares of ups and downs. i started as a regular specialist and took calls for more than 2 years. there were several times that i feel like giving up. a lot of emotional (angry actually!) moments has passed. this was not caused only by customers but the environment as well. i am now an adjustment auditor. i am very happy of my position right and never thought i would ever like being in CVG. but i do..
imagine a normal life: working on a 9am to 6pm shift with a saturday-sunday rest days in call center industry. pretty amazing, huh?!

I used to work for CVG but only for 8 months 'cause I decided to pursue a career somewhere else. 'Was one of the first batch in CVG Cebu who was brought to CVG Alabang for the nesting period since the call center in Cebu wasn't ready yet at that time. Wow! It has been more than 3 years since then. I can't forget the experience and the things I've learned.
I never regret working for CVG however I had to go on a different path. I guess persuading irate customers wasn't really my thing since we were handling Sprint and billing disputes were really tough. But this wasn't my biggest challenge. It was actually those missing phones that they've returned and never got their reimbursements or they've received new phones thinking that it was free because somebody convinced them so and then realized in their bills that it was actually either for a second line or a replacement for their existing line which they never wanted. I can't stand the fact that some people would go farther tricking others for personal gain (more commissions).
