and i don't really know what to do about it. every week, when i have classes with him, he finds a reason to call me in his office and there askes me if i don't want to go out with him, he tries to hug me and so on. and he found out my phone number and is calling me in the middle of the night and if i turn off my phone he yells at me the next day. i don't know what to do, these kind of things are hard to proove and i don't want to fail my exams :( does anyone have an idea? Thanks.

Wow, I'm sorry you're having to deal with that! I can't believe how much he is bothering you! I think you should definitely report it to the school. The worst that they could do would be to not believe you and you wouldn't be any worse off than you already are, but if a student is making an accusation against a teacher like that, I would think they would have to take it seriously and do something about it or else they'd get themselves in to really big trouble. What he's doing to you is harassment! If he leaves you any voicemails, you could save them to prove that he's been calling you, or else usually cell phones show what numbers have called you recently and you could show it to someone at school and it could prove that he had called you. I hope everything works out for you and that he stops doing this!!

That seems kind of creepy... Have you talked to an administrator like the dean of students? You should show someone his number in your phone's memory to show how many times he's calling you. He can definitely get fired for that and I think all schools have to take these matters seriously so students don't get taken advantage of. You won't fail your exams if you tell someone who is in charge of him. Also, if it gets even worse maybe you should tell the police.

I would definitely tell someone or try to get someone to stand outside the office as a witness or something to prove it. This is very unprofessional and should not be tolerated. He is trying to use his authority to get a date...that is just wrong!

Go to the dean first, and then go to the police. If your dean does nothing, the police can, especially if you can show them the records of his calls. I'd also consider calling your phone provider and asking them if they can record your calls for a period. And if you have any friends who can vouch for you, that'd be a plus.

i would like to thank everyone for their responses and i am happy to tell you the problem is solved. without the police, without recording, just with some well documented threats about kicking him out from the teaching life. i don't know where i found the guts to tell him all this on a very secure tone, but it worked... and i also passed the exam :D all i can hope for right now is that i'll be able to move with school in another town. again, thank all of you :)

oh my gosh! this is terrible! Especially him calling you and yelling at you! A guy like this is VERY dangerous and you need to tell the school immediatly what he is doing! He is very cruel and bad, do not worry about your exams in this situation. After the school hears what he is doing you will have the peace to concentrate and study better for your exams. I'm so sorry this is happening to you :( I hope they give him the boot!
