I think that in todays world where money matters a lot it does buy happiness. Your child wants a barbie doll with all her dresses can you bring happiness over her face if you dont have the money to buy her one. I personally feel happy when i buy and wear some unique piece of jewellery or dress which has not been worn in my friend circle. I dont say that happinesses can be bought endlessly with money but surely it has a very important role to make ones family and oneself happy.

I believe money is the root of all evil. So I do not beleive that money can buy anyone happiness. Money may be able to buy you nice things but not true happiness. Yes we all need money to be able to live but not to be happy.

i don't think the rich are more happier than the poor. If we can own a natural heart and just wish to live a simple and peaceful life, i think as long as we can enjoy our life , no matter we are rich or poor we can also live happy.

money basically is a matterialistic thing, it cant get you happiness, but surely it gives you a sort of satisfaction, a sort of security in todays world where you hardly finds any good ppl,i dont mean there are no good or better ppl around, they are, but because of todays working style, the pace in everyboady's life, it seems ppl including myself, have lost that human being who would go out of their way to help someone who is needy...

Yes it does but it is only temporary since once you have it you'll keep on wanting for more and the cycle never ends. So if you want those that are quick happiness use your money it would buy you temporary happiness but not true happiness.

Never! It has never happened before and it will never happen. The rich are not happier than the poor, but the only thing is the rich ones are privilged, I mean they have their financial problems solve anytime they're in need. Thanks

Not for me, you can have everything you want in life with money but you can't buy happiness by money. I agree that money makes you happy but what if you don't have money, you are not happy then. I believe that poor people are happier than the rich.

to me, money doesnt buy happiness at all. if i have a huge salary but i dont enjoy what i'm doing then what's the point? if i have all the money in the world and could afford this and that, yet i have no one to share it with, i'd be very unhappy.

well...i wouldn't deny that money is indeed one of the essential things we need in our lifes. money can make us happy but not necessarily happy for a lifetime. for example, if we have all the money in the world, but our family keeps arguing all the time because of the money, we surely can't be very happy no matter how much money we have right? so again, we need a balance of things: health, money, love...to be able to feel the happiness. don't u agree? :)

in my opinion money is not everything but it is certainly a thing which is very important for every body . i think that as there is a limit to every thing , so there is a limit on how much money one should have . what i have to say is that less money can not buy all kind of happiness as well as more money can keep happiness for ever .so money money is important , one needs to have money for surviving in this society but he should have money according to his needs and limit . then only he can be happy as well as satisfied .

Yes and no. Yes, money is very important for our survival--we need it to buy our most basic needs like food, clothing, shelter, water, medicine, etc. But as to the question on whether it can buy happiness, not necessarily. I remember a powerful line which goes something like this: "you can buy food, but not appetite, you can buy the most expensive bed, but not sleep, you can buy the most expensive toys and gadgets for games, but not friends, you can buy the best books, but not knowledge"...the list could go on and on. . as to whether the rich are happier than ordinary folks like me, I say I don't think so. There are a lot of rich people who are envied, but in reality, are very lonely for some reasons. .

Different people have different meanings about happiness.
Someone who like to buy clothes or jewlery can buy happiness with money. Money really can bring happiness for someone. But for most of people, it just bring passing satisfaction.
What is happiness? For me, it is that I have the ability to protect my beloved. My parents, brothers, my husband and my baby. I hope we can live together forever, although I know it is impossible. I'm afraid of loneliness.
Ask yourself what is happiness.

i think it depends on the person. rich people can be happy if he/she really wants to. real happiness cannot be found in money anyway, it is within the person, it doesn't matter if he/she is rich or not. money can give a person material things which may, i repeat MAY, contribute to their happiness but its not the overall reason. it may be the person giving it or the reason why you received it or the timing you got it. =)
