How do you make a friendship last?

To make a friendship last.. we require efforts. Except for the primary school, i stayed in hostel so my friends came from different places. After finished school and Uni.. we make efforts to make our friendship last. Not only by trust and patience but also efforts... phone call, e-mail, greeting cards..... anything to make sure they know that u did not forget them... And answer the call each time they call.. always be there for them... even you are far apart...

As i had observed, to make friendship last, each two parties need respect for each other, just like the way they act and treat each other. as they gain respect to each other, they were capable to obtain trust from each other wich deepens the quality of friendship. Each of the two parties should be open to each others, and of course help each other in time of consequences. A quote i had just read which i think is suit for a living friendship.. "Dont explain, your friends doesnt need it, your enemies wont believe you anyway".

i have this circle of friends and for more or less than a decade now our friendship is still getting stronger. i cn say that constant communication is one important factor in keeping a friendship alive. internet and mobile phones are of a very great help nowadays for it only thinks seconds to communicate with others in all around the world...
