I'm not sure what are you looking for to start with.
For me, in term of price, edatarack is much cheaper -- $2.95/month, compare with lunarpage of $6.95/month. But, as I mentioned, it's all base on what you looking for.
When I start off, all I care was disk space and bandwidth.
edatarack: 500GB / 150GB
lunarpage: 350GB / 3500GB
Then, later I found unlimited database is important to me, so that's my I host another site on lunarpages, which comes with unlimited database, rather edatarack of 50 database.
Of course, there are some more differences such as pre-install scripts and media support. Hence, it's better off you take a close comparesion of what you really want before you purchase it. I didn't give my affiliate link, both are in direct link which you can compare.

I like http://www.one.com/en/. They're very cheap (1.25 EUR/ month), the set-up fee is 12 EUR though, but that's just one time. They also give good support and a lot of features, including ASP, PHP and MySQL.
I personally use www.hosting2go.nl, but it's Dutch, so I wouldn't recommend it to you.:p
