We usually tip $2-3 to anyone that delivers food to our house. If they deliver the wrong thing, we don't tip. If it takes more than 20 minutes longer than they told us on the phone, we don't tip. If it gets here really fast, we tip more. And I'm pretty sure that it doesn't matter who ordered their food first, the Pizza Hut guy always comes here first when he has deliveries on base. I think it's because we do always tip, and probably better than most.

If I could get someone to deliver pizza to my house I would be happy to tip them. I live in a small rural town. There is no pizza delivery service available. WHen we lived in a larger town that had pizza delivery service I always tipped even though I paid a delivery charge. The delivery charge goes to the company not the driver.

I used to be a waitress and I am really picky about any type of servie where tipping is imvolved. I also used to work at a pizza place. Our delivery charge was based on how far a way they were. And part of it went to the house and the other to the driver,it was there in case they did not get tipped, but when the drove on the weekends they were not paid they worked soley for tips. So the $1.50 was nothing if no one tipped. I think as long as they came within the time promised your pizza is till warn you should give at leasta dollar or two and if you have a huge order $5 bucks would hurt. But if you show up two hour latr and my pizza is cold and wrong. i give them nothing.
