High mileage cars

I have a '98 Honda CRV with 125,000 miles on it. That really is not a lot for a '98, or for a Honda. I get comments all of the time, though from friends. They always ask when I am going to get a new car. A friend once said she could not believe I would still have a car once it reached the 100 mile mark. Why not? It is fine, it is still reliable! There is nothing wrong with it, it is paid for..So, anyone out there have a high mileage vehicle and have you had comments from your friends who just don't get it? My neighbor had a Ford pick-up with 350,000 miles on it and he drives it everyday. Crazy, huh? I don't think so. I think it's pretty cool. He bought it new in '85 and still has it. Why? because it still gets him where he needs to go and he doesn't want the dreaded car payment! I love that. What do you think?
