How many people actually got the film

I used to have that problem, I wasnt entirely sure, but I had a bit of an idea. Then I got someone to explain it to me, and it turned out that my ideas were right. It's sort of hard for me to explain the whole film, but I know that one of the things people find most confusing is when he sees people with that wierd liquidy stuff coming out of them. Thats basically where they are going next, if you understand what I mean. It's just a way of showing that Donnie is coming to understand the relms of Time Travel. If theres a specific bit of the movie you dont understand then let me know and I'll try to help :)

I could rehash everything here but it would be a waste of time. Do a search on Donnie Darko on wikepedia and it will explain everything. If you have the 2 disc directors cut dvd to watch, the commertary explains it all as well. While this movie was playing in midnight showings, there was a website that left clues to explain it. That website is no longer up so you pretty much have to rely on wikipedia and directors cut dvd to make sense of it all. A great film. I am really looking forward to Southland Tales which will be the directors second movie. It stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and Sarah Michelle Gellar. It was panned at cannes last year and it rumored to be released in 2009 by Sony Picture Studios who has the rights to it.
