I'm a huge Heat fan too...yes it sucks that the bulls blew them out the water!!! Everything you said..I agree needs to be better for next season. Sometimes they didn't even look like they were playing as a team..they got some great guys still on the squad so I am sure that the veterans will have them "man up" for the next go around- Who are you rooting for now, Bulls or Pistons?

Well, from the looks of it, they don't really need Ben Wallace in light of the more offensive mindset they have now. He would only go up for shots and screw his chances while Chris Webber (who turned out to be Wallace's replacement at center for the Pistons) sure might have a few bad nights but if you've seen his field goal percentage during Game 2 of the Bulls-Pistons series, he hit 10-of-11 (or something like that), proving he's found the right spot for him to contribute from. He's got a lot of options now in Billups, Hamilton, and company, unlike the team he had in Philadelphia.

They should dump their aging players for new, young ones who can do the job better. I believe a good complement at the power forward position and at the small forward position should be overhauled.
Sure, Dwyane Wade can still run, but the problem here is that he's just had a bad injury and that it has affected his skills one bit.

The Gary Payton from Seattle, the old Alonzo Mourning, the Celtic Antoine Walker, the Eddie Jones from Los Angeles, the Jason Williams from the Kings and Grizzlies, the Shaq from his earlier Laker days: they just won't be seen anywhere, anytime, anymore.
Those days are in the past, and right now all these players have less speed, less stamina, and cannot be expected to be as physical as before.
They might still have their basketball IQs intact but in the end, if you can't keep up with your opponents, you'll be better off using your basketball IQ somewhere else: like, coaching, perhaps?

thats a good option, but their aging players are very experienced and became all stars in the past.. gary payton and zo can still play the game.. antoine walker should play like he was like in boston.. and j-will is a good point guard, sometimes he is out of control.. ^_^ shaq will be playing 2 seasons only before his retirement.. i hope he can catch up to his dream to have 5 championship rings..

yes they can defnitely improve next season.first they need to trade some good players espicially point guard or power forward. thats where the teams weakness is

I think, though, that it's a bit too late to trade O'Neal, Mourning, Payton, Walker, or Williams for high-quality players; these athletes don't have many years left in them, and their values have dipped and will dip even more as time goes by. The future sure is looking bleak for the Miami Heat and they need good, relatively young players that would propel them back into title contention. Where would they get the talent? They'd have to make major offseason moves if they want to be back in next year's playoffs.

the problem what miami heat is facing is that they do not have young players in their team,5 of their players are above the age of 30 plus.i think for next season for them to win the championship is to bring some new talents in the team so that they can partner shaq and wade

It's so frustrating to see the heat get swept like that by the bulls, although im not saying the bulls are not that good as a team. The heat relied heavily on Dwyane wade throughout last year's playoffs, and so was this season. None really stepped up to pick the slack. Dwyane is still bothered by the injury which affected his game, again im not downplaying the bull's defensive capabilities. the heat needs additional firepower, someone who would help wade and shaq lead the team. an above average point guard is a great addition or an imposing power forward. both positions would surely ease up the load from shaq and wade. a solid outside threat is a welcome addition, kapono should stepup (after all, he is the 2007 3 point king!).
