My philosophy of life is pretty simple really...Be true to yourself, be real with yourself about you and the world around you...Always walk to the beat of your own drum not the beat of the masses or others etc....Respect, Compassion, Openmindedness, Understanding, Loving-kindness and being Mindful are all key as well.....Don't live in a bubble always fearing new or different things on the outside....Be the student and the teacher...Always know that no matter what gets thrown your way, nothing is set in stone and you CAN change the outcome or the current situation etc etc.....

I guess my philosophy would be from a quote by Shakespeare-I think. "To thine own self be true." I have spent my years since turning forty really getting to know myself and being as honest about me as possible. I highly recommend it for anyone who is drifting or seems to be at odds with themselves.

I've been trying to develope a philosophy all my life, it's on going process. Right now I am attempting a technique of staying focussed on positive thoughts, it's not as easy as it sounds. Human nature is to complain, especially about things we can't change so it's hard to be around people that will also stay positive and help you stay positive. The idea is to reap what you sow. If you worry and fret all the time then God or the universal energy (or whatever you want to call it) will give you just what you're worrying about. God doesn't seem to understand negatives so when you think to yourself, please DON'T do such and such a thing to me! it hears do such and such a thing to me, ok, here ya go. Stay focussed on the positive and you'll draw positive results to yourself. I know this actually works because there have been times in my life when I did it, it's just hard to do it ALL the time but that's what it takes.
