I am a dog lover, and I have 2 Yorkshire, 1 chihuahua, 1 Pom and a 4 months old Maltise named "Kitty" living with me. The problem is, when Kitty came to stay with me, she keep barking. She bark at everything and everyone even the rug!!. I have tried everything, "played" with her more, bought her loads of toys, but she keep barking, sometimes at nothing. The rest of my boy and girls didn't bark, only sometimes, but since the arrival of Kitty, some of them has started to bark once kitty started to. Any advices on how to train her to stop barking??
Thank you so much (",)

Take them all on long walks each day to tire them out. Not just running around the backyard, I mean get some leashes and go out.
Also, spray bottles can sometimes be a deterrent, but they learn quickly that they can't bark only when you are around.
As a last resort, you can get a bark collar for her or have her debarked, but I'd try some more conventional ideas first.

Well, i tried to walk them everyday, but sometimes its hard as i'm working on normal days. But they do get to run around the house everyday.
Oh, no, i read from somewhere that "debarking" a dog means taking out their vocal cords, they will still be able to bark or make some sound, but the sound that came out sounded kind of like a ROBOT!! I think i'll take the conventional route (",)
Thank you so much for your ideas (",)

Well you have very yappy breeds and you only need one to set them off.
Sorry, I couldn't live with that. Kitty has to go.

Unfortunately you have dogs that have a rep of being very barky so it will be hard to train them to keep quiet! The way that my brother trained his dog to be quiet is when he barked he would shout louder than his dog so that his dog would lookin shock and it worked after a time but to be honest Red wasnt a very vocal dog to start with
