Was listening to NPR radio last night and someone said that Clemens was a vengeful person. It seems that in an exhibition game his son hit a home run off him and the next time he came to bat Clemens put a fast ball up near his head. It would seem that he still has the same fire even when his own son is involved.

Very nice move for the Yanks... Clemens is old, but he should still be an effective pitcher and get some wins behind the Yankees offense. Being that money is no object for the Yanks, I think this is a really nice move that is really going to help them out.

Probably. He's on the way out slowly but surely so he will sign for anyone who will give him the best deal. He may have a few good games left in him but I would see him more as a closer than a starter. But what do I know about baseball.
Red Sox fam.

I never liked Clemens ever since He beamed Mike Piazza. And I hate The Yankees more , so this is a perfect match. It was going to hard for me to root for Clemens if he returned to The Red Sox.He is still a good pitcher but he is older and he is only one pitcher and the Yankees need a whole new pitching staff, but getting Clemens is a good start.

Clemens just loves fatting up during the off season and then have teams try to outbid each other for his limited services. He won't have much success with the Yankees because he won't go long enough in games. He can only pitch about 6 innings before he runs out of gas.

A Steinbrenner move. You'd think after 7 years he would realize: Old, declining, fragile players don't win championships!
