Women and friendships

Do you feel like it is hard to maintain your friendships as a woman..Maybe you just had a baby and your friends do not understand..or you got married and your single friends find it harder to relate..I find with two kids, married life, it is hard to stay in touch! Any tips or suggestions on keeping friendships strong?
