Between my husband and myself, we have 13 horses - and two little ones expected any day now. Most of ours are some type of gaited stock; I have a registered Tennessee Walker mare, our stallion is a registered spotted saddle horse, one of our other mares is a registered spotted saddle, and another is a registered Missouri foxtrotter. I also have a registered Paint gelding that I run barrels and poles on, and a retired race horse. We also have 3 spotted saddle colts on the ground now, out of our stallion. And as if that weren't enough, we just bought a show quality registered Tennessee walker stallion that I plan to try to show later on, as well as breed.

Hello
We have an 28 yo arabian mare,11 yo standardbred mare 2 years off the track,Standardbred/qh cross 1 1/2 month old stud clot,15 yo morgan mare,4 yo qh palamino stallion,6 yo qh gelding.Their disciplines are varies with jumping, dressage, english and western equitation,command,pleasure,gaming,trail..Each has it's speciality but all but baby boy will do anything or at least try.The old arab mare is retired now and hangs out eating. She might get saddled up once a month for a slow trot.Standredbed and her baby son are for sale and will hopefull go before I get too attached to the boy...he loves kisses on his nose and to have his butt scratched so I'm hoping he sells sooner then later....tehe..
Welcome to mylot..we need more horse lovers...

I have six horses... Two of which are rescues. I used to show a lot, mostly jumping, but with school and all these days I don't have the time to show anymore. =(

Yes, I am a horse lover! I enjoy horseback riding (western) and watching any kind of equestrian event. There is nothing so beautiful as a horse and rider jumping over a fence or the rider and horse becoming one in the dressage ring.
I haven't had the opportunity to ride for several years and I sure do miss being on the back of a horse.
Hopefully, my finances will one day allow me to purchase another horse so that I can go riding again.

Hi we have a skewbald thoroughbread cross called Aztec. He's an absolute gentleman and does anything, but he's getting old now nearly 20 and his breathing gives him some trouble these days. We have a little shetland pony called Fizz. We had her from 6 months old and she is wonderful. She was really easy to train and my young daughters have both ridden her. I used the join-up technique and equs expounded by Monty Roberts to train Fizz, it works beautifully!! I also broke a Welsh Section A pony using the same methods. His name is Teddy, at the time he was 4 and difficult to handle let alone ride. He now has a very happy 7 year old rider and has been in two local competitions already.

[Waves] Where there are horses, there's me! :] I adore horses; I been riding since I was 6 or so. They are truly magnificent, and I love them with all my heart! In fact, I base my life around horses. Horses, horse, everything! They mean a lot to me; I have stuck with them and made many sacrifices for them for a long time. I would never give them up.
