Jesus: The Christ or Not

God's first commandment is, "I am the Lord, your God. Thou shall not place other gods before me."
The question is, "Is Jesus a usurper?"
In the Christian faith, there are two eras. These two eras are those times recorded in the Old and New Testaments.
The Old testament was pretty straight forward. At that time, this was the one religion where Islam, Judaism and Christianity originated from. During this time, God had his ten commandments and his people knew his laws. Punishments and rituals were very much detailed. In short, God was strict and insisted that His' laws be followed to the letter.
In the New Testament, along comes Jesus Christ who says that sin isn't to be feared that much because you'll be forgiven anyway. That we can disregard the laws that God has created.
To me, this seems to be inconsistent of God. The Christians believe that God has three personalities in God the Father, Son (Christ) and Spirit. These three personalities exist as one entity yet can be separate. So, if God is Jesus Christ, isn't it inconsistent of Him to invalidate his law? Was Jesus really the son of God or was he just a tool that the devil used to drive more souls to hell?

Jesus also said that he didn't come to do away with the law (meaning the laws that God has already given) but to fulfill it (meaning that we don't have to make sacrifices in order to be forgiven of sin.
Jesus is God in the flesh. To help us understand why he didn't know everything is that he is not the father but the son. The Holy Trinity is even hard for me to understand or explain. It is just something I accept as a part of my faith.
Jesus is not a usurper. Jesus is God. He humbled himself to become a little lower than the angels to walk among us and to reveal himself to us, to give us mercy, grace, forgiveness, healing and deliverance from sin.
One day we will all see him return in which the same way he left, in the clouds. EVERYONE will see him. Every knee will bow & every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. Even the ones who claim that there is no god will bow. What a glorious day that will be!

Yes, I agree. It is part of the Christian faith. You either agree or you don't. I just find it hard to believe that a hard line disciplinarian with an either or mentality would change his mind to be suddenly all forgiving.
