Do you use male or female character in games?

I am a female and always play female characters. The vast majority of my male friends play male characters as playing a female feels too fake to them. But I have heard that if you are a female in game people treat you much better than if you play a male character - unless people know you are a male playing a female character.

I typically start off as some sort of mage. In Lineage I was an SE and in Guild Wars I have an Elementalist/Necromancer.

Thanks for the post. Yeah i have also noticed that, and even myself. I would be more respectful & helpful to a female than a male. Not that i am gonna put myself infront of an arrow or fireball to save her but i would help her more if she doesnt know something. Some question for you sedel, which profession do you normally pick first to start off the game?

i prefer using male character, because i'm a man. ahaha, sometimes in game man weakness, if they meet with female character they will be nice. But sometimes female character are cute, but i'll keep using male character.

Yup i agree, like i said, they are designed with beauty. For example, in guild wars, male warrior body figure is quite large. Some Warrior character with certain armor looks fat & short

I am very girlie so i always use girls in everything. usually in pink lol. I play 'there.com, and the sims 2 but thats about it. but anytime i can choose an avie for anything its always a girl. I could not even try to pass as a guy.

Thanks for the post. Yeah, in some RPGs you have to choose from the given characters. Like Warrior, Ranger or Mage stuff like that.
When we talk about profession, which class do you normally pick for your character?
I always start with a warrior, only in Guild Wars, my first character was a Mesmer
